Why Marketing
Direct marketing, mailing, sales promotion all terms which, by the looks of it, seam
to come from an other planet.
More common are terms such as costs, price and organisation. Some of the readers can
probably establish a relation between the listed terms.
The question is; what has this to do with Marketing.
Let us look at the issue from an other angle.
In the past, Customers did buy from Swiss companies because the quality of the
poduct was superior. These days, Customers buy from a company when they are in
the centre of the activities, when there needs and wishes are satisfied to the best, or
exceed the expectations. In some cases it isn't possible any more to sell just goods, but
only in connection with additional services.
It is Marketing, respective the Marketing-Mix, which can be of great assistance.
In the Marketing concept are the subjects, as above listed, combined and implemented.
The Customer is placed in the centre of all business activities of the company.
